We’re screaming with excitement over here at ATO Inc because our very own Coach Nay has officially been cast in her debut musical theatre role as Violet Beauregarde in the upcoming summer 2025 production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert, AZ!
That’s right—Coach Nay is trading in her whistle for a wad of bubblegum and stepping into the bright lights of one of the most iconic and outrageous characters in theatre history: the gum-chewing, spotlight-stealing diva Violet! 💜
Based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, this high-energy musical features a fun, fresh score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (the powerhouse duo behind Hairspray) along with classic hits from the 1971 film that we all know and love—like “Pure Imagination,” “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” and of course, the unforgettable “Oompa Loompa Song.”
Set inside the mysterious and magical chocolate factory of Willy Wonka, this show promises a full-on fantasy ride—complete with chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels, the great glass elevator, and a cast of golden ticket winners ready to learn some very sweet (and sour) life lessons.
As Violet, Coach Nay will bring her signature sass, style, and stage presence to life in a role that was made for her. From rehearsals to full productions, we are already so proud of her commitment, talent, and courage to step into this new creative lane.
